Creating a comic involves storytelling, a great script as well as awesome comic art that goes along. Here in this tutorial, we will share some steps which you can take to get your comic script and art to the next level.
Start off with a script which is your storyline and possibly have an idea of the images behind the script. Proceed with pencil sketches of the scene and character. Enclose each screen into frames and then add the dialogs.
You would want to show your comic to the editor / publisher in the pencil sketch and dialogs form. You will get edits to your story and images and then you will be ready for your final ink drawings.
The Pigma Micron 08 Ink Pen is used in this tutorial for the comic drawing and drawing the frame. Use an artist ruler that is a bevel on the edge to prevent ink from touching and smudging your paper. After inking, erase the pencil drawings, and you will be ready to scan your comic into the computer.
Use Photoshop to grey tone your comics and then add the dialogs into your work. Check out the tutorial for more detail.
I hope you enjoyed the techniques shown here in comic creation. Learn and master more drawing techniques under the categories in Drawing Creative. Enjoy!
